Done. I have a feeling I would've enjoyed it a ton more if I played the first two games. However, I still thought it was an excellent game. Managed to snag one of the better endings too. Maybe I'll somehow get to play those games at some point.
GTAV might be next, assuming I don't get bored of it like I did with GTAIV.

I own all three Witcher games and I currently have the first one installed. That's my way of saying that I'm going to attempt the first two games before I play Wild Hunt. I'm looking forward to that part of my gaming schedule.

I have 2 and 3 and am also looking forward to playing both. I don't think the first game will ever run on my computer, but I'm also told its pretty different in a lot of ways from the other two games and not as super necessary so I'm not sweating it all that much.

GTAV is...well, better than GTAIV I guess. I really dislike the characters. It isn't necessarily because they're bad people (though that isn't helping). They just feel so poorly written. I don't get why Franklin keeps doing all this sh  it with everyone when he clearly doesn't want to. It's a beautiful game too but I just don't have any desire to explore it. There's so much about RDR that made it compelling. An actually well written protagonist and plot, an open world that I actually wanted to explore. I just hope Rockstar doesn't forget what made it so good if they end up making another Red Dead game. Or maybe Rockstar needs to explore other settings altogether. |

God damn, Dark Souls 2 is not suited for an aggressive play style at all. Everything is so slow. I've been trying to replay all of these games without using a shield for the sake of challenge, and while that worked well for Demon's and Dark, it's just not fun in Dark 2. Think I'm gonna pick up a shield and play it slowly, or it'll just ruin my impression of this game.

i dunno about delays (actually never experienced any delays, and i had in fact experienced them in dark souls 1), but they did do away with button queueing from dark souls 1, which feels like a net positive
that game has some weird, massively-overinflated HP values on all its enemies early on that just levels off later on such that it ends up being much more tedious to play earlier rather than later, though. think the forest area you start at is like, the worst part of the game for that reason. at least most of the enemies in the first part of the burg in DS1 die in one hit to damn near anything that isn't a dagger or a shortbow

All of my last playthroughs definitely took off later rather than sooner so that might be true. I had a rough time starting out to the point I had to completely reset last time I played.

i think dark souls 2 was actually the only game i completed on the very first character i made. i restarted on the other two, albeit less for desperation's sake and more because i had different ideas i wanted to try out

I never really had these problems when I played the original Dark Souls 2. I guess I just need to get used to it.
