Now reading Berserk. Yeah, this manga has its reputation cut out for it when the very first pages has Guts **** and killing some Apostle woman.
EDIT: I like how all of the anime that I watch are Slice of Life, and all of the manga that I read are gigantic messes of gore and other unpleasant ****.
EDIT: EDIT: An adorable and innocent girl. Approximate life expectancy in normal manga: 80%. Approximate life expectancy in Berserk: Zero. She appeared solely so she could be slaughtered, and it was so obvious; hell, she was wearing a modest, white dress.

Do you know what I'm doing for my birthday? Finishing the Seacats anime. wall of **** incoming, spoilers for everyone who cares (read: nobody):           ...and for good measure: EP4 is the longest episode in Umineko (with the possible exception of EP8) by large amount; Deen really didn't see this coming, and so they've cut out a few scenes that would have improved the quality of the final product (namely the best part of Umineko's gameboard, Krauss versus Goat-kun). A few scenes have also shown how Deen failed to plan for the future, namely with the twist near the end of the main game, which ran under plot details that were removed from the anime in order to save room. The pacing of this fell apart at the beginning of the arc, but to be fair, the VN for EP4 is frequently vilified for the same reason, so it's not a problem for which Deen deserves every bit of blame. Then again, the lackluster adaptation didn't really help matters. I have two episodes left, and I'm saving them for tonight. Episode 25 is the last episode that I've actually been looking forward to, so we'll see how that goes. I expect to take several more screenshots when that time comes. |
