i think i'll dump this right here, right now, because it's been my silly pet theory for a couple of years despite being ludicrously impractical and we're finally on our way to an actual confirmation:
big mom isn't actually the huge fat lady. that's like, her public face and is in actuality a servant or a family member or whatever. the real big mom is the three-eye girl and she's masquerading as the fat lady's daughter. granted, i say this because i just can't see the fat lady being all that imposing of a villain and the idea of someone who looks so harmless being the actual, wholly amoral pirate queen seems more interesting than another one of oda's goofy, impractical villain designs. also, it'd be hilarious and actually pretty in character if the story just went "actually sanji, your real bride is that hideous, 80-foot tall fat lady. have fun!"
i guess everyone is allowed one terrible fan theory for something they like, and i guess that's mine.

I'd like to agree with you, but look at basically half of Oda's villains. Hell, look at Kaidou. Or Moria. Or Kuma. Or Blackbeard. Dude loves him some giant freaks as his big baddies. |

i've been wanting to do this for a while so i guess i'm doing it now! it's not as entertaining to go over that dub again as I thought it'd be, but i'm also playing games to the side (p.s. forbidden memories is still one of the worst games ever made and somehow i still like playing it). also, god duelist kingdom really stretches any semblance of suspension of disbelief. |

though, i mean  if a game could give me a character design like this that is simultaneously silly-looking, but kind of cute in its silliness, it has served its purpose and justified its existence i just realized this should probably be in the video game topic since it's a mobage, but then again, nobody will play this for any reason but to obtain microtransaction-gated anime boys so eh |
