then again, i also was also on the bellamy for strawhat bandwagon throughout dressrosa so maybe i'm just insane

Looks like most of the anime catalog on Hulu is going out the door. (p.s. that's a link)

Hulu as a service is pretty miserable, but they've had pretty low standards for what kind of anime they'd host, as well as some periphery (general Japanese entertainment like films, dramas, etc) that licensors could toss in. I liked their catalog (in no small part because FUNi seems to use their site to host their licenses, and FUNi has a monopoly on early-mid 2000s shows) and I actually used that site quite frequently, but I'm not looking forward to seeing the bleeding cuts they make.

I'm not sure what FUNi's relationship with Hulu is either: at least for unsubscribed users, they use Hulu to stream their material. Dunno if they have their own hosting (people keep talking like they do, so maybe it's just gated to subscribers). A lot of the lesser shows are probably the older works that I've been revisiting that weren't giant friggin' hits or some of the Z-list modern stuff that I check out for whatever ungodly reason. If Hulu cuts that stuff, will that just be accessible to FUNi subscribers only or something? Or hell, will some of it just be gone forever?

Either way, something cool will probably vanish, and from how Justin puts it, the situation will probably get progressively worse. Kind of a shame.
