Magic dampening field? Never mentionned one... would be pointless in a whole world where magic does not exist at all ^_^! Because I feel generous, two words: light sphere.

So there is the building you got the message from, the depot you left, a communication center (with the antennaes going with it) on your left and a landing pad with more drone where you stand.

Drake: W.A.R. and others! I guess you guys got sucked in here too. And here I thought I'd be nice and safe holing up in the hub and letting this whole thing blow over. My armors not working, and I've lost contact with the dragons. What's going on here.

Considering my starting usefullness of next to useless, a 250 percent increase isn't that much... but it's better than 0 I suppose.
